Join the Signature Staff team in a reception based role supporting our busy temporary staffing department.
Signature Staff is a locally owned recruitment business with three decades of operations and a strong reputation in Far North Queensland. We’re looking for an organised, approachable person who enjoys working with people and can keep recruitment administration moving while being the first point of contact for candidates visiting our office.
What you’ll do
- Welcome walk-in candidates and respond to phone and email enquiries
- Schedule interviews and occasionally conduct candidate interviews
- Search for suitable candidates and follow up applications
- Coordinate onboarding, check documents and complete reference checks
- Support our temporary staffing team with job orders, candidate records and job processing
- Post approved job advertisements and monitor applications and advertising accounts
- Assist with routine social media posting using content prepared by our content creator
What you’ll bring
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
- A friendly, professional manner and confidence speaking with a wide range of people
- The ability to organise competing tasks and follow through on outstanding work
- Confidence using databases, Microsoft Office, job boards and social media accounts
- An interest in recruitment and helping candidates find suitable work
Recruitment experience would be valuable, but we would also consider someone who has held a middle management role in hospitality. Much of our temporary staffing work is in hospitality, so an understanding of its people, pace and staffing needs would be a real advantage.

The role starts casual, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at $33.71 to $38.89 per hour, depending on experience. During the initial months, we’ll assess skills, performance and cultural fit together to see whether the role is suitable for both you and us.
If the role moves to full time, the hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at $26.97 to $31.11 per hour, depending on experience.
