Job Overview
Signature Staff is seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects across Townsville. This predominantly office‑based role (around 90%) is central to ensuring smooth project delivery and the seamless execution of construction workflows from start to finish.
You will oversee the full project lifecycle using Buildertrend, coordinating internal and external stakeholders while acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
The role also includes preparing monthly WIP reports, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting strong relationships with clients, trades, and the internal team. It suits someone who thrives in structure and values clear communication and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans for each stage of the project.
- Coordinate projects to align with program, budget and quality objectives
- Monitor progress to mitigate risks, maximize benefits, and control costs.
- Achieve financial goals by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Perform accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects and variations.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of all cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan and monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with forecasts and targets.
Critical Skills & Attributes
- Qualification in Project management.
- Experience in construction project management.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle, tools, and techniques.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in project management software and spreadsheets.
- Experience in Buildertrend construction management software would be highly advantageous
