Warehouse Team Member–Casual with View to Full Time
Location: Cairns
Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 7.30am start (35 hrs per week) | Some flexibility with hours

Our client is seeking a reliable and capable Warehouse Team Member to join their small and supportive team. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, working closely with transport companies, truck drivers, trawler crews, and warehouse staff—strong communication skills and the ability to adapt are essential.

About the role:
You’ll work across both cold and warm areas of the warehouse and be required to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and professional approach. 

Please note, there is more work in the freezer than in the chiller, and time is also spent outside when unloading boats at the wharf.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Unloading trawler products into trucks
• Communicating effectively with boat crews
• Operating forklifts safely (high reach, sit down, electric pallet jack)
• Picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks
• Using warehouse software (receipting stock, restacking, finalising pick slips)
• General warehouse duties as required
• Driving a truck for deliveries 

What We’re Looking For:

• • A current Forklift Licence
  • A minimum of an MR (Medium Rigid) Licence
  • Physically fit and capable of handling heavy loads
  • Basic computer skills – desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Comfortable performing manual tasks in a cold storage environment
  • Willingness to undergo random drug and alcohol testing in line with business requirements
