We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator for Townsville Enterprise which is the peak economic development and destination management organisation. Townsville Enterprise has played a critical role in leading the economic progress for the region through strong political advocacy, investment attraction, tourism development and by promoting Townsville North Queensland as a place to visit, invest and live.

The Role

The Marketing Coordinator will support the implementation of marketing activities and provide administrative and project management support. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday 8:30 to 1700, with the option of fortnightly RDO’s, based in heart of Townsville CBD.

Your daily activities:

  • Working with the Marketing Manager to execute marketing strategies through introducing new opportunities, concepts, and ideas
  • Oversee, develop and co-ordinate creative marketing collaterals (both print and digital media)
  • Marketing development and implementation including online marketing and website management
  • Developing and implementing social media strategies and advertising campaigns
  • Implementation and Co-ordination of Direct Mail initiatives through Industry and partners
  • Identify opportunities within the targeted markets
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of advertising and marketing strategies
  • Keeping abreast a cross section of the key industries pertinent to the future growth and development of Townsville North Queensland
  • Conducting research and analysing data to identify and define audiences
  • Work in a highly active environment and deal with challenging situations with minimal supervision

To be successful in this role, you will need the following 

  • Previous relevant experience 
  • A proven track record of implementing successful marketing strategies 
  • Hands on experience with social media platforms, website management and marketing software and tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven organisational and time management skills
  • High level administration skills
  • Computer literate including previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Experience in writing, producing, and delivering engaging content
  • Current Open driver’s licence

Qualifications – Desirable

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing or communications
  • Tertiary qualifications ideally in Marketing, Business or Communications
  • Photography, videography, and/or graphic design experience
