Their extensive range of services in both soft & hard landscaping include general garden maintenance and clearing, landscape design, tree lopping, edging, and trimming, paving, retainers wall and more.
Their professional services cover Domestic, Commercial, Body Corporate and Government sites; they also work closely with developers at the design stage right the way through to the finished product.
The ideal candidate
We are looking for an experienced landscaper/horticulturist who has great enthusiasm and a passion for horticulture design and systems. A team player, with demonstratable experince in both soft and hard landscaping.
Great customer service will come naturally to you and you will have safety and tidiness in mind when working across commercial and residential sites.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Hard and soft landscaping duties
- Gardening and grounds maintenance, clearing, trimming, and pruning, tree lopping and edging.
- Must be able to communicate with owners/clients, architects, resort managers, gardeners, labourers, and other staff members.
- Ability to work autonomously when required.
Required Licences/Qualifications/Experience
- Certificate III in Landscaping or Construction, or a Certificate II in Horticulture and/or Arboriculture, or a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- HR License
- Arborist experience highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability in key hard landscaping such as concreting, fencing, paving, retainer walls, block laying.
- QLD White Card
- Open Car licence (manual Qld), with willingness to get HR licence.
- A Blue Card (working with Children) or willingness to complete a national police check (completed before commencing work.)
- Able to work a physically demanding role where you are exposed to all elements. This is FNQ so it is H O T 11 months of the year!
You will be working in locations such as schools, aged care/retirement facilities and Government and Commercial organisations. For this reason, drug and alcohol testing may be a condition of entry onto some sites, and your vaccination status may be questioned. If necessary, you may be required to produce evidence of Covid, Flu and tetanus vaccinations.
You will also be required to complete inductions for certain organisations, and these can vary from a 10-minute application to a full day. These are part of your role, and you are paid for your time in completing the process, where required.
