In order to receive a Queensland White Card after 31 January 2019, you must attend a face-to-face training session in a Queensland location.

The only exception to this rule is if you live more than 100km from the nearest approved training organisation that delivers this training. In this case, you are allowed to use an online training provider, but in all other cases, you must attend a course held in a physical location.

The course is a requirement for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry and the changes introduced will significantly increase the course-cost and limit the availability due to being reliant on resources and trainers.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) is confident that face to face training will improve the depth of understanding and safety awareness within the construction industry.

Training organisations in Queensland will only be able to train students located within the state.

Where a card is lost, stolen or destroyed and needs to be re-issued, you must supply the statement of attainment for the course. If you can’t, you’ll have to re-sit the course.

Blue Cards are still valid, but if you lose it, you’ll need to complete the new course (CPCCWHS1001) to replace it with a new card.

If you hold a White Card attained in another state and you need a replacement card, you‘ll either have to re-sit the course or seek a replacement from a registered training organisation in that state.
