As part of its commitment to increase employment opportunities across the state, the Queensland Government offer up to $20,000 to employers in regional QLD and parts of SE QLD who hire a young unemployed jobseeker and meet the program eligibility criteria.

The criteria

In simple terms, the jobseeker must be:

• a QLD resident
• aged between 15-24 years and:
• unemployed for a minimum of four weeks.
• not currently studying

It’s simple to apply

It is surprisingly simple to apply (fill in an online form) and whilst some terms and conditions apply, most employers are eligible provide that:

• The job is located in the eligible regions
• The job is not casual (min 20 hrs per week at part-time status)
